Kerrie Hatch (Brown)

Family and friends of Kerrie Hatch are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Transplant. Kerrie has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

On February 4, 2025, I had to go on oxygen due to fluid build-up. I did the orientation/education classes for a liver transplant on February 12-13, 2025. I was then, due to my condition of liver failure due to NASH (non-alcoholic steatohepatitis) or fatty liver, placed on the UNOS Liver Transplant List on Valentine’s Day.

I expected that I would be able to return to work as soon as I could get off the oxygen and save up some money for expenses. To my surprise, just 8 days later from being put on the list, I received the call to come to the hospital for a possible transplant. I was given a full liver transplant on February 23, 2025. I was not financially ready for this change to happen so quickly. Not to mention all the things I had to purchase just to be able to stay at home.

As of 03/19/2025, I am still under 24/7 care, clinic 2 times a week, still on oxygen, and now my heart is having some issues that we hope will resolve themselves. I am a fighter and do everything I can to get and stay strong. I have chosen Help Hope Live to help me fundraise money because of their stellar reputation and tax-deductible donation to the contributors. I appreciate your willingness to help MeKayla and me through all these changes. It all happened so fast!
