Kevin Hudson (Abdul Kareem Salahuddin)

Kevin’s life was thrown into an upheaval when he was diagnosed with Liver Disease 15 years ago. His condition worsened quickly to point he was placed on the waiting list for a liver transplant. Kevin received his transplant a week ago and thanks to God, and the incredible surgeons, Kevin is on his way back to health, but he needs your help because the medical bills are mounting.

Many of you may know Kevin, Abdul Kareem from working at DLA Federal Government for over 30 years and for his active role in the Muslim community for over 40 years. Or perhaps you may have met him through his wife Wanda, Hafithah, or his children, Musa, Saud, Zaki, RA, and Sabir.

After many years of working hard to take care of his family and working in the Muslim community, Kevin, Abdul Kareem needs your help. Transplantation and follow-up medication and treatments are very expensive. Even with insurance, Kevin, Abdul Kareem is facing very high expenses including hospital, pre and post-transplant medication that he will have to take for the rest of his life, and follow-up doctor’s visit which include co-pays, labs fees and more.

To help with the financial burden of Kevin, Abdul Kareem’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years.
