Kevin Kloepfer

Kevin Kloepfer is a forty three years old struggling with Cardiomyopathy, Pulmonary Hypertension, Congenital Heart Disease, Cardiac Arrest, Coronary Artery Disease and his only hope to raise his 6-year-old child. The cost of a transplant can be very overwhelming.

Kevin was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe and graduated George Whittel High School. He then made a few stops where he eventually graduated from Western Nevada College where he studied Early Childhood Education to name one subject. Along the way, he married Jenny Kloepfer and they had one child. After working as Pre-K teacher he found himself unable to teach again after not meeting his education requirements. Now Kevin works part time with adults with disabilities for a company here in Carson City.

Transplants are lifesaving but financially draining. Even with insurance, Kevin will be facing very high expenses including relocation for 6 weeks to be closer to University of San Francisco, post-transplant medications of up to $1,200 a month plus co pays.

To help offset such expenses, a fundraising campaign in Kevin’s honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years.
