Kevin Taggart

Dear Friends and Family and Community,

Many of you know my loving husband, Kevin Taggart. Last year at the age of 43, Kevin was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. Kevin is a wonderful father to our children, Jordan (17), Kaitlynn (13), and Madison (10). He is on oxygen 24/7, is no longer able to work or do many of the things that we all take for granted including basic care for himself. I have had to leave my job to be Kevin’s full time caregiver.

Kevin’s doctors at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida have told us that he is in immediate need of a life-saving lung transplant. There is no other option. We are now up against a challenge that we cannot meet alone and desperately need your help.

Financing this procedure is overwhelming and a monumental task. There are many pre- and post-transplant related expenses that are not covered by insurance. Some of these are traveling expenses for pre- and post-surgery evaluations, relocation expenses at the time of transplant and for about 3 months post-transplant. In addition, Kevin will be on a life-time of very expensive anti-rejection medications. At times like this, the help of friends, family, and community is greatly needed and appreciated to make the outcome successful. Kevin needs to raise $22,300 for the transplant to happen.
