Local businesses, family and friends and of Kim Halvorson are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.

No one plans to hear you have 6 to 9 months to live at 2:00 AM in the morning at local regional medical center ER . The nurse came into my open bed and stated we need your bed and we are sending you home. You better get your affairs in order you have Kidney and Liver failure and we can not help you here. I looked at them and blinked thinking they had the wrong room and I just needed to get out after 8 hours of waiting and dealing with terrible care. I was freezing and tired and would deal with real MDs in the morning and figure this nightmare out.
