Family and friends of Kimberly Dubois are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Transplant. Kimberly has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expense

Hello my name is Kim DuBois I’m 57 years old I am the mother of three beautiful children and I also have five wonderful grandchildren. I will begin with my story in January 2019 I was having some trouble with shortness of breath and was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy which is heart failure. over the next year I continued to follow up with my cardiologist and keep regular appointments with him. But in July of 2020 after getting off work that evening I suffered a cardiac episode and ended up in the ICU at the Oklahoma heart hospital, and was told that I needed a pacemaker immediately due to the condition of my heart. I received the pacemaker on August 30th 2020. One year later on July 30th 2021 my heart condition had worsened and I was put on the heart transplant list. As I laid in ICU needing a transplant, and with my birthday only days away which was on August 29th 2021. My only birthday wish was to receive a new heart, and by the grace of God on August 30th 2021 one day after my 54th birthday I received my new heart. I am forever grateful to my donor, and their family for giving me the beautiful gift of life. Unfortunately when I was in heart failure, my kidneys took a huge hit and never fully recovered. Now almost 4 years later I am in stage 4 kidney failure and I am in need of a kidney transplant. I would very much appreciate any donations that can be made on my behalf to help with my medical expenses. I am putting it all in God’s hands, he was there right by my side every step of the way through my heart transplant and I know he has my back now. I truly believe that there is power in prayer and with your help I will be able to achieve my fundraising goals as I begin my kidney transplant journey.
