On August 27, 2012 while on my way to a job that I loved, I was involved in an automobile accident that left me a C5-C6 quadriplegic. I was paralyzed from the chest down. My mom was told I had the “typical” Christopher Reeve injury and to expect that I would not have use of my legs, hands or arms. I would need to use a power wheelchair for the rest of my life, and be dependent on others for my care. Statements that I have already proven wrong and will never accept.

This accident changed my life forever in a way that presented some huge challenges to overcome, challenges I have accepted. I CONTINUE to strive to overcome the odds and prognosis. I CONTINUE to regain movement and control of my body. I have achieved these gains through hard work, and some amazing therapy.

My support group has enabled me to fight this fight. I could not have gotten as far as I have now without all of your financial help. Insurance only covers 25 sessions of therapy a YEAR! My fight is so much more than 25 days of therapy. I am pursuing intensive therapy five days a week for two hours. I know this is what I need. I have seen incredible improvements in my body movement and function over the last two months alone. I am positive that with your help I will become independent and return to that job I love. However, it is not the time to give up on the therapy and be satisfied with where I am at. God continues to allow me to heal and improve. I need to do all that I can to make myself the absolute best that I can be.

I cannot reach my goals without your help. At this time, I am unable to work and my mom is my caretaker, which is a full-time job. Please help me receive this therapy that will push me to my maximum potential. I am asking that we work together to get a large group of people to donate a small amount monthly, so that no individual has to take on a large burden. If we get enough people to donate $20 or even $10 dollars a month for a year, we can make it happen!!

Please continue to believe in me. I will not let you down. I so appreciate everything that everyone has already done. Without you, none of this would be possible.
