My life changed in an instant.
On June 18, I fell from the fourth floor of an apartment building and sustained a devastating C6 spinal cord injury. I was initially paralyzed from the neck down. By the grace of God, I have regained movement in my arms, but I remain paralyzed from the chest down. In seconds, my independent life became a daily fight to rebuild strength, stability, and hope.
I spent a month at Tampa General Hospital recovering from the trauma. I was then blessed with two months of intensive rehabilitation at NeuLife Rehabilitation Center, where I underwent specialized physical therapy and electrotherapy five days a week. Those sessions pushed me physically and mentally — and reminded me that I am still here, and I am not giving up.
At 32 years old, I never imagined facing something this catastrophic. But I refuse to let this injury define my future. I am committed to regaining as much independence as possible.
The financial reality of a spinal cord injury is overwhelming. Although I have insurance, many critical needs are not covered — ongoing rehabilitation, specialized equipment, adaptive transportation, and advanced therapies. These are not luxuries; they are essential to my recovery and long-term quality of life.
I am asking for support through Help Hope Live to help ease this burden. Donations will go directly toward my medical and recovery expenses, allowing me to focus on healing instead of financial fear.
This is the hardest chapter of my life — but it is not the end of my story. I am fighting every day to rebuild my independence and create a meaningful future despite paralysis.
Thank you for standing with me.
