Dear Friends, Family and Community

My wife, Laura Oxford suffers from interstitial lung disease and pulmonary fibrosis. She is on oxygen 24/7 and her doctors at the Cleveland Clinic have told us that her only option is a life-saving lung transplant.

Laura grew up in Ontario, Canada and is a graduate of Amherst High School. She is a loving wife, mother to her son, and was her late husband’s care giver for 14 years. Unfortunately, Laura is no longer able to work and do most of what we all take for granted due to her poor health. She is comforted by our two Boykin Spaniels. Laura loves people, is very anxious to return to work, continue her volunteer activities as a regional coordinator for The Boykin Spaniel Rescue Society, and become an active member of the community again.

Transplants are life saving but financially draining. Even with insurance, we are facing very high expenses that must be covered out of pocket. Some of these are relocation to the Cleveland area for up to 3 months post-transplant, travel to and from the transplant center for ongoing follow up visits, co-pays, deductibles, and Laura will be on a lifetime of very expensive anti-rejection medications. This is where your help is desperately needed.
