Please Help Me Expand My World

In 2010, I slipped and fractured my right pelvis.

Things were never the same again, my pelvis finally healed but I could no longer walk without a rollator/walker. Shortly after that, my medical conditions became worse and my world started getting smaller single every day.

Numerous tests and x-rays revealed even more abnormalities including autoimmune issues, lots of arthritis, my spine and discs in my back were disintegrating. This caused me to walk in a hunched position due to pain, which then caused my spine to freeze in that position due to the extreme pain I was in. I was found to be very anemic and lacked in several essential minerals needed to be healthy.

Eventually, I had no choice but to retire and leave all of the clients I assisted on a daily basis.

I eventually ended up in a wheelchair full-time. Leaving my life very limited.

My goal is to be able to live a life that would allow me to get outside of my own four walls. Allowing me to visit my daughter’s grave is one of the most important things I have been unable to do since my inability to walk has caused me to be totally dependent on a wheelchair for ambulation. I also go to numerous doctor’s appointments for the treatment of my medical conditions. Attempting, to rely on transportation from other agencies has made it extremely difficult to coordinate scheduled appointments and at times the transportation is not reliable or available.

I have always been a very caring and hard-working person. I always went above and beyond to help my clients in their times of need. I also took care of the elders in my own family for many years.

Several of my former clients still keep in touch with me today, knowing that I am hurting and may need them now.

Any donations would help some of my dreams of living a more normal life come true. My goal is to have a vehicle that would transport my electric wheelchair so that my personal care assistant can drive me to my appointments and help me to live a better life.
