Help Hope Live for Leatanoa Moeone

Hello everyone! My name is Malia Moeone. My Husband, Leatanoa Moeone, needs our help. Our family and friends are coming together to raise funds for his medical expenses related to transplantation through Help Hope Live. In 2021, my husband faced an unexpected challenge when he was diagnosed with IPF Due to Covid 19. After being hospitalized for 3 days He was put into a Medically induced coma. He spent 5 long months in the ICU. with no certainty of waking up. It came with an uphill battle that a now 50-year-old would not expect. He had left from his job, hoping to spend more time traveling, enjoying his wife, and children a lot more. Instead, his condition has worsened over the following year, and now he urgently needs new lungs. My husband used to be so active and engaged, especially when it came to spending time with us and playing sports. But now, his life mostly revolves around home and hospital stays. Simple tasks like talking, cooking, or even walking have become difficult for him due to constant coughing and breathing issues. This journey has taken a toll on my husband and our family. He struggles with daily activities, misses family events, and celebrations, graduation, and family weddings among others. To keep living, he needs a double lung transplant, which comes with significant expenses like medical deductibles, housing being we are moving our family to Utah where the transplant will take place before surgery and after surgery caregiver fees Or possibly pay bills if I need to stay home and be his care giver and follow-up appointment costs for at least a year. My husband is hopeful that with this transplant, he can regain some sense of normalcy in his life. He wants to be able to do everyday tasks without struggling and spend quality time with us again.
