Family and friends of Lela Marie Hubbard are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with Transplant. Lela Marie has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

Lelas journey has been quite a story March 8 2012 she was 39 years old and with no known health issues she was working at a Hospital and had a yearly physical and got a surprise when her doctor hunted her down after her labs came back that something was wrong with her Kidneys she was hospitalized for 15 days and placed in ICU 2 of those days because she was very sick and needed 2 blood transfusion a plasma transfusion and a temporary dialysis catheter placed in her chest. At the time her hemoglobin was at 6 she was placed on medical leave immediately never to have returned to work. For 3 whole years she was severely sick. But as the years passed she has tried to get a kidney transplant but there seems to be very few to match her 97% antibioties. So with the help and planning worh her family and care team she has reached out to the Mayo Clinic and was placed thru several testing and passed them all but the cardiac clearance which the cardiologist scheduled emergency cardiac stents. She was placed on Plavix in order to be transplanted she needs to be taken off in December and will be active on transplant list January 2027. She will need to pay for lodging 4-6 weeks to be at the clinic in Rochester Minnesota along with parking ,food and travel to and from
