Family and friends of Lorie Hurst are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Transplant. Lorie has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses

Friends & Family most of you already know and for those of you that don’t know I’m in stage 3-4 kidney failure. And because of that I need a kidney transplant. So if all my friend & family could share my campaign on there page I would so greatly appreciate each and everyone. This new journey in my life begin back in August I was in Houston spending time with my grand babies Kemile And Cameron. The kids and I went to Galveston spent all day on the beach had a wonderful time, on the way home I started having sever abdominal pain, which had went away over night. My Jesus was with us through all this! Next few days I felt better but not great. Chris and Keisha got back home on Thursday and insisted I go to hospital at which time I did., and alone arriveing to the er my blood pressure was 259/156 ablivis to me I did not feel it. So abdominal pain to back stage to blood pressure. Short ambulance ride to Conroe Texas to the HCA Hospital Conroe Texas.Kidney function was awful so doctors wanted to do biopsy of my kidneys and was told that I would have to start diyialisis immediately and they put my hemo port in and I started dyalis in hospital August 27 2025.A huge shout out to the nursing staff at Conroe HCA the most kind and careing nurses ever they where great. Along arriving home in Broken Arrow I started doing dyalis 3 days a week for 3 1/2 hrs. Did not like it at all asked to do home dyalis had peritanial cathader put in and in October I started home dyalis 4 nights a week. It’s going great God is Good. But now its time for getting on the transplant list no small undertaking! And that’s where I need my friends and family the cost and copays are crippling! And that’s why I’m asking for anything will help! God Bless each and everyone of you I couldn’t do it with out you!
