Maddie and Evie Blake

Maddie (5y) and Evie (3y) are vibrant, joyful sisters who bring light and laughter to everyone who knows them. Both girls qualify for Hope Help Live under the catastrophic illness category.

Maddie and Evie receive regular applied behavior therapy, occupational, and speech therapy to help them gain the skills needed to navigate their world. Evie also works with a nutritionist to help improve her restricted intake due to sensory sensitivities and to ensure her little body has all the vitamins and minerals it needs to thrive. She has additional medical diagnoses, including a congenital heart defect. Sweet Evie started out her life in the NICU, requiring surgery, and has continued to need surgical and medical procedures through her short life. Maddie also has co-diagnoses that complicate her care.

Despite their challenges, they are incredibly bright, loving, and determined little girls. Maddie has a natural curiosity and loves to be active and silly, while Evie is a gentle, nurturing soul who cares deeply for others—especially her big sister and little brother.

Why We’re Fundraising

As parents, our goal is to provide the girls with every opportunity to thrive while ensuring their happiness, safety, and dignity. This includes access to equipment, therapies, and co-treatments that aren’t always accessible through insurance (although they are critical for their growth and well-being).

Funding helps cover:

Therapy equipment for sensory and motor skill support

Tracking devices and safety tools to prevent elopement

Medical costs not covered by insurance (nutritionist, medications, vitamins, co-pays)

Home modifications to create a secure, accessible environment

Additional needs such as swimming lessons with a special abilities swim instructor

One of our main goals is to raise funds for a service dog for Maddie. When Evie becomes of age, funds will be used to support her having a service dog as well.
