Dear Family and Friends,

Many of you know my husband, Mario Ramirez. He is the father to Norman, Edwin, and Christopher, grandfather of 2, and good friend to many. As you know, Mario has suffered from multiple heart attacks, surgeries, and numerous hospitalizations. He is no longer able to work. Mario’s doctors at Tampa General Hospital have told us that his only option now is a life saving heart transplant.

Funding this life saving operation is a monumental task. Even with insurance, there will be many uninsured medically-related expenses that must be paid for out of pocket. Some of these are co-pays, deductibles, doctor visits and Mario will be on a lifetime of anti-rejection medications. This puts us up against a challenge that we can not meet alone and desperately need your help.

To help ease this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Mario’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive (HelpHOPELive). HelpHOPELive is a nonprofit organization that has provided fundraising assistance to the transplant community for more than 28 years.
