Mark Packard

Mark is a 65 year old family man who needs urgent help for a lung transplant.

Mark was diagnosed with interstitual lung disease in 2015. It is a rare disease that causes hardening of the lung tissues preventing the lungs from producing oxygen. It is a chronic & severely debilitating disease & is ultimately fatal. The only cure is a double lung transplant.

Mark has been on oxygen for 6+ years. He uses an oxygen machine 24/7 and still struggles to breathe. His lung function continues to decline as the disease progresses & becomes more severe.

Mark has accomplished everything required of him for the transplant. He has completed all of the testing & requirements & has just been approved for this life-saving surgery!

As Mark has used up all of his resources for relocating to Arizona & for medical expenses he needs urgent help with his meds including anti-rejection medicine, antibiotics & follow up care that will cost $1000+ every month for the rest of his life. This is not covered by insurance. He also needs to relocate & live closer to the transplant center for 3 to 6 months until his doctor visits allow him to return home.

Without the transplant his breathing ability will continue to decline until he loses all lung function. So without the lung transplant & subsequent medications, he will not survive.
