Maxine Ayala

Dear Friends, Family and Community,

My mother, Maxine Ayala was diagnosed with diabetes almost 40 years ago. She is in end stage renal failure and on dialysis 3 days every week which is keeping her alive. Her only option now is a life-saving kidney transplant.

Maxine is a loving wife to Lorenzo, a wonderful mother to six and has been blessed with 16 grandchildren. She has always been active in the community but is no longer able to do many things she has always enjoyed. Dad was forced to retire early to take care of her.

As you can imagine funding this life-saving operation is very expensive and few families can meet this challenge without the help and support of others. Even with insurance, there are many expenses that must be paid out of pocket. Some of these are co-pays, deductibles, lab fees and she will be on a life-time of expensive anti-rejection medications. This puts our family up against a challenge we cannot meet alone and desperately need your help.

To help with this financial burden a fundraising campaign in Maxine’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years.
