Mary Keenan

Dear Friends and Family,

Many of you know a very special person to us, Mary Keenan. Mary is a fun loving adventurous mother and aunt who encouraged all of us to get outdoors, to be curious and to explore. Most of all to have good, clean fun. Some of you may know her years of work at (BP) Amoco or from her church (Southwood Baptist Church) in Tulsa. Still others may know her from Classen High School class of ’64. Mary retired in October to spend time with friends and family and enjoy life in general. Currently Mary is stable but will have more tests in January.

In August of 2010, Mary was diagnosed with NASH (Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis), or end stage liver disease. Her health has rapidly deteriorated to the point that her doctors at Integris Baptist Medical Center have told us that her only option now is a life-saving liver transplant. Although Mary has insurance, it will not cover all of the enormous costs involved in the extensive transplant process. This puts us up against a challenge that we can not meet alone.

A fund raising campaign in Mary’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive (HelpHOPELive). HelpHOPELive is a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization that has been providing assistance to the transplant community for more than 28 years.
