My name is Mary Jane Rivett. My curent van is a 2001 Chevy Venture van, its falling apart and has servied me well. I am 68 years old, single, have spinal stenosis, and a curved spine. The older I get the more difficult it is for me to get around and take care of myself.
When I started shopping for a new more automated van I was shocked at the prices. 60,000 to 80,000 thousand dollars. No way can I afford this on my fixed income, even with a pension and social security. Any assistance there is in discounts still puts it well out of my affordably. As always I make to much to qualify for assistance but not enough to get assistance for a handicap Van. Im always left out of any benefits.
I here from the news that there are people out there with billions. Im praying that some one or many will help me keep my independence and dignity.
