McClifford Cooper

There are many descriptions of step fathers but McClifford Cooper, is “Dad” to me. He is a wonderful and caring man who needs our help; McClifford needs a life-saving kidney transplant and even with insurance, the expenses of transplant quickly become overwhelming.

Growing up, McClifford encouraged me when I felt lazy and didn’t want to go to school. Today, I am a high school graduate. On Sunday mornings, McClifford would be in my room waking me up for church, and reminding me how important church is to our spiritual growth. Most days after work, McCliffor taught my two little sisters and I soccer and, at church he organized soccer training for everyone. With all of these great things we continue to enjoy because of our dad, on the day we learned of his kidney failure, it broke our heart.

Since that day in 2011, our awesome dad started going to dialysis. He has been in dialysis for seven years now and we are hoping you will join us to help McClifford prepare for the financial aspects of transplant.

To help with the financial burden of uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign has been established in his honor with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to help patients and families in need for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law and are held by Help Hope Live in the Southeast Kidney Transplant Fund in my honor.
