Meenira Ramjit

My name is Meenira Ramjit. I was diagnosed with congenital heart defect in 2009 and underwent open-heart surgery shortly after. A couple years later, I survived a cardiac arrest and received an implanted defibrillator that saved my life multiple times. In November 2024, my heart failed again, and I was told a transplant was my only option. After months of waiting, I received the incredible gift of a donor heart and underwent a full heart transplant on November 21, 2025. I am profoundly grateful to be alive and for this second chance at life. To help manage these challenges, I have signed up with Help Hope Live, a nonprofit organization that assists transplant patients with fundraising for medical-related expenses. Through this organization, I am respectfully asking for support to help cove transplant medications and ongoing medical care.
