Mel Angelo Castellano was placed on the heart transplant list in November 2025. An Army Veteran who has spent his life serving his country and community, Mel now faces severe medical challenges and needs our collective support to fund uninsured medical expenses.

Mel is an honorable Army Veteran with a career marked by exceptional bravery and dedication:

• 3x Army Achievement Medals

Mel is currently rated 100% disabled for service-connected Coronary Artery Disease with Heart Failure, alongside a 75% service-connected rating for PTSD and anxiety.

Throughout his struggles, Mel has never stopped showing up for others. He frequently volunteers at his children’s schools and actively helps fellow Veterans overcome homelessness and mental health challenges.
