Who is Michael Barrett

Michael is a 56-year-old man who is trying to get back to being a healthier version of himself. He is a hardworking man who enjoys a home cooked meal. He loves to always be on the go. When he was not working, he enjoyed watching sports with his two sons or even sometimes by himself.

Michael’s Story

Michael has had asthma for as long as he can remember, and he kept it maintained by using his inhaler and his breathing treatments.

As of today, Michael has been battling a serious respiratory issue for two years stemming from complications of having COVID. Since his issues with his respiratory system have come to light, he has been having trouble breathing.

He runs out of breath quickly and he also gets dizzy at times. He has to carry around his oxygen tank in order to lead a somewhat normal life. Because of these issues, he misses out on many things such as working to bring home income to survive. He also
misses out on spending time with his family and friends.

What does Michael do for the most part?

Well, Michael spends most of his time in the house sleeping or going to doctor’s appointments.

What does Michael need?

He currently needs a lung transplant to become healthy again and live a normal life.

Michael is currently fundraising for the cost and expenses of receiving a lung transplant. Along with raising money for the transplant, the money will also aid in his post treatment which will include doctor’s appointments and the medications to help his body operate with his new lungs. This is a very costly process; however, with your help, it can give him the resources that he needs to be back to normal.

What is Michael’s wish?

Michael hopes that this transplant will transition his life into where it once was and that’s a normal active life. He hopes to be working again to bring home income and enjoying the activities that he once enjoyed and being able to spend time with his family again prior to the COVID era.
