HELP MIKE GET A SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE PLEASE!

Mike has battled Type 1 Diabetes since the age of 4. Unfortunately, that long battle has led to end stage Kidney Failure at the young age of 34. Mike’s only hope for a second chance, is a Kidney-Pancreas Transplant. We are asking family and friends to join us in fundraising for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to help with the expenses Mike and his family will endure. All donations will be applied to medical expenses before and after surgery, medications, and lodging near the transplant center.

For anyone that knows Mike, they know that despite the hardships he faces, he loves with all his heart. He has never let his disease stop him from trying to live life to the fullest and still tries to always have a smile on his face. He wants nothing more than to make other people laugh, because seeing someone happy, makes him happy.

On Valentine’s Day of 2021, Mike spent a week in the hospital. Yet, from his bed he arranged to have flowers and candy sent to his wife because he wanted her to feel loved. He is just that type of person. Even on his hardest day, his kids bring him so much joy. He is an amazing father and wants nothing more than to spend a lifetime watching them grow up, which would not be possible without this surgery.

Mike’s health has declined quickly over the last year and only seems to be progressing quicker. He still has a very long road ahead of him. After surgery, he will spend a lifetime taking Anti-Rejection medications, which are often not fully covered by insurance.

Donations to Help Hope Live can help ease the financial burden of his transplant and allow Mike to focus on his recovery, healthy living, and enjoying his second chance at life with his family.
