Help Shelly WIPE AWAY MS!

Shelly Olson is going to Mexico to receive a Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) to reset her immune system and STOP the progression of her Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This is a life-changing procedure that is very expensive and not covered by insurance and she needs the help of her community to make it happen.

Shelly is a 40-year-old loving mother of three children ages 18, 12, and 11. She has been married to her very supportive husband, Chad, for 11 years. Shelly was diagnosed with MS in February 2010. MS is a debilitating autoimmune disease that attacks the myelin sheath covering the nerves which causes them to misfire. This disease has changed the way Shelly lives her life. She is an avid lover of the outdoors, she spends much time volunteering for different organizations for her children and the community. MS affects the entire family and the things they are able to do together. By stopping the progression she will be able to continue being active in the activities her family enjoys so much, and hopefully return to doing some of the activities she has had to give up.

In 2016 Shelly and her mother, Jackie Baldwin, will travel to Puebla, Mexico for four to eight weeks for the transplant. Chad will remain home in order to take care of the two school-age children. The treatment is expensive and there are many other costs such as: travel and living expenses while in Mexico, lost wages, medications and continued medical care after returning home.
