Mikah Valentine

Mikah is a 5 year old boy with stage 4 autism who comes from a single family household of 6 children. His father is partially disabled and his mother struggles to keep a steady job around his constant needs for multiple therapies per week and doctor visits. Despite Mikah being non verbal and high level autistic he loves music as he sings along in his own language, he’s very active and loves to run, play with basketballs and cars and bubbles is his ultimate favorite. He is also learning to be more independent with assistance like getting dressed or just simple commands like get your shoes or throw something away in the trash. Mikah struggles to be a fully independent toddler as he doesn’t always comprehend his surroundings or how to do things as cleaning himself, eating because he’s very picky and only eats with hands no utensils, he is also a toe walker so he now has gotten feet braces to try to correct his walking. Mikah is in need of various medical necessities that Medicaid continues to refuse to cover as it’s not seen as a dire need for his disability. Covering expensive equipment and bills is not easy so Mikah is fundraising for a cubby bed, medical trike, orthopedic shoes, medical supplies and everyday expenses for food/travel and therapies/doctors. This fund raising will help Mikah tremendously by providing him access to all the medical needs to help him become more independent with his disability with the biggest hope of growing out of his disability before becoming a full adult. Family and friends of Mikah Valentine are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Catastrophic Illness. Mikah has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.
