Hello, my name is Monét! Im an aspiring poet and I love baking, reading, being outdoors, and spending time with my dog, Bambi, and, my cat, Picasso! I have a conditiond called M.E./CFS or Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. ME affects multiple parts of the body and makes it hard for me to walk very far, stand for long periods, or be as active as I’d like without pain, dizziness, or spotty vision. Before getting sick my favorite activities included going outside with my dog and taking her on walks or bike rides, spending time with my friends, playing badminton, and jogging on occasion. I also loved marching band and wanted to continue my band career through college.

After getting sick however it became increasingly difficult to keep up my active hobbies and routines. I’m not able to be outside as much as I’d like to without pain. I can no longer her enjoy walks with my dog because I can’t walk far and I have a hard time managing work and school because the exhaustion and pain is too great. I was approved through my insurance to get a chair but unfortunately it would not allow me to go outside and be able to attend school because I don’t have a wheelchair van or a ramp. So my only option is to pay out of pocket. I want to go back to school and it is a goal of mine to attend school on campus and be able to enjoy the outdoors again. However, I’m gonna need your help to get there.
