Monty Daniels

Monty Daniels is a proud Oklahoman and U.S. Army veteran who has spent his entire life in Chickasha—aside from the years he dedicated to serving our country. After completing two active-duty terms and five years in the Army Reserves, Monty and his wife Beverly returned home to raise their two children, Damian and Dayanna.

In 2024, Monty was diagnosed with end-stage liver failure, a life-threatening condition that changed everything. He has been hospitalized at OU Medical Center since May 28, 2025, due to the rapid progression of his illness. While awaiting the liver transplant, Monty faced yet another devastating challenge: the doctors discovered that he also needed an unexpected heart bypass surgery. This discovery significantly increased the risks and challenges of the already critical procedure. After many highs and lows throughout the transplant process, Monty finally received the life-saving liver transplant and heart bypass surgery on July 17, 2025.

While the surgeries were a success, Monty’s journey is far from over. Recovery will be long, and doctors expect it will be at least a year before he’s able to return to work. As the longtime sole provider for his family, this medical crisis has placed a tremendous financial burden on Monty and his loved ones.
