Nadine’s Story

Nadine Mcpeak Langley had been a resident of Martinsville, Indiana for over 12 years but now resides in Brownsville, Kentucky. She has been blessed with 3 children Aleshia, Leslie, and Clayton Langley. They have also blessed her with 5 grandchildren. Nadine has proudly worked to provide her family with all they needed. She is a caring asset to various work forces that exist to help others such as the Morgan County Humane Society. However, due to her declining health she has had to move from her home in Martinsville, Indiana to Brownsville, KY to seek help from her family and for further medical treatment at Vanderbilt Hospital in Tennessee.

Nadine was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. Her illness has progressed to a stage four, changing her daily life drastically. Fortunately, Nadine had been placed on the transplant waiting list recently. A transplant is her only chance for survival. However, there are many uninsured transplant-related expenses her insurance will not cover such as travel, relocation and copays. Nadine and her family have come to realize funding this surgery is a monumental task they cannot face alone. Nadine needs your help.

In order to ease this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Nadine’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive (formerly NTAF), a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for nearly 30 years. All donations are tax deductible and are held by HelpHOPELive in the Great Lakes Liver Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant related expenses only.
