My name is Nancy Mercedes. I grew up and I live in Worcester, MA.

I am a mother and a grandmother.
I have been blessed with a Wonderful Family.

I have Alpha1 antitripsyn Deficiency. This has caused Genetic Emphysema and now I need a double lung transplant.
I have been living with emphysema for a very long time.
It has been Very Hard on my family and me, living with this on a daily basis.

I want too personally thank:
my family, my doctors, my N.P., my nurses, & my friends for taking care of me, when I could not on my own.
Thank you for being there for me.

I’m ready to put an end to this illness.
I am ready to accept a Very Precious Gift of Life, Two precious Healthy Lungs.

I try to imagine how sweet it will be for me, to be able to breathe comfortably on my own with no oxygen, Wow.

This would be the best gift that I can even imagine.

While I am waiting for my double lung transplant I need your help. Please consider making a donation to help me out with the expenses that my insurance does not cover. Co-pays, travel, lodging, medication, caregiver and more.
