Fight with Natalie & Fulfill Dreams…

On February 21, 2021 our lives changed forever. Our daughter Natalie was in a serious sled riding accident at Hinckley Hill. Natalie broke her back, six ribs, suffered a collapsed lung and was diagnosed with a spinal cord injury at the T4 Level (paralysis from the chest down). Natalie spent 3 weeks in the ICU including another collapsed lung and an additional surgery to help her lungs heal. Natalie spent a total of 5 weeks in inpatient therapy in Cleveland and Chicago and became stronger and more comfortable with her new life.

Natalie is a warrior and fought through the rollercoaster ride of ups and downs in the midst of her body getting use to the paralysis. She has continued to push forward in her education, cosmetology training, therapy and all of the emotions of suffering through a trauma.

Natalie continues to enjoy shopping, spending time with family and friends and running her own business as a nail tech. She doesn’t plan on allowing her diagnosis to stop her from enjoying life and living to its fullest!

The average lifetime cost of a spinal cord injury is over $2 million (resource: Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation). As you can imagine, the cost of Natalie’s care and recovery are extreme. Even with insurance, we have and will continue facing many out-of-pocket expenses such as ongoing activity based rehab.

Our desire is to give Natalie every opportunity to improve and heal and many of the therapies available is not covered by insurance and is not local and can be very expensive. Natalie needs your help to fight along side her to ease the financial burden and give Natalie the chance to live her life as fully as possible.
