Ned Shandloff

Dear Friends, Family and Community,

This past May, my husband, Ned Shandloff underwent unexpected neurosurgery to remove a tumor from his spinal cord at level C3 and C4, which put him at great risk of complete paralysis from the neck down. The resulting neurological deficits involve both motor and sensory nerve loss. Following surgery we went to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta to begin the grueling rehab process. We have returned home and he is beginning an intensive outpatient rehab program.

Ned is a loving husband, father to our daughters Brooke and Heather, father in law of Evan Appell, grandfather of our 1st grandchild, Sophie Bea, and good friend to many. He has worked hard all of his life, is an avid golfer and is an active member of the community. With a tremendous amount of determination and hard work Ned is determined to make as much recovery as possible

We now find ourselves with mounting financial challenges as there are many expenses we will incur that are not covered by insurance. Some of these are most of Ned’s outpatient rehabilitation, a full time caregiver while I am at work, adaptive equipment and home modifications. This is where your help is needed.
