How do you measure a life? Do you do so in the number of breaths you take or the amount of money you bring home? Do you measure it in the years lived and miles logged?

I don’t believe so. You measure a life in memories.
In the tears that were cried in heartbreak and the laughter that made your soul whole again. In Christmas mornings and Mickey Mouse pancakes. In sorrowful goodbyes and joyful hellos.

Four children.
Nine grandchildren.
Six great-grandchildren.

A life should come down to memories with the people you love and the people who love you.

You fight for that life.
And it’s that life my grandfather, Owen Lecklider, is fighting for now. A major health scare on January 1st, 2016 compromised his kidney function. As those issues progressed, he found himself in kidney failure. He is now dependent on daily dialysis and in need of a kidney transplant.

Our family is working to raise $20,000 due to an insurance differential and with your help, we can ease the financial burden of my Grandpa’s transplant and recovery process.
