Paul Youngblood

“You have been diagnosed with the rare disease of Amyloidosis of the heart.” With those few words, Paul Youngblood is now in a race against time to get a new heart. A heart transplant is the only thing that will save his life – there is no cure. With medical bills mounting and the cost of the heart transplant looming, not to mention the expense of the after care, Paul needs your help.

Paul has brought joy and laughter to everyone who knows him. He has given freely of his time and talent not expecting anything in return. Most of you know Paul as an artist, and knows he is in the room just by hearing his laughter. Help keep him laughing by keeping him alive.

Transplants can and do save lives, but even with insurance can be financially draining. Paul is facing very high expenses including post-transplant medication, which can be around $1,200 a month, co-pays, lab fees, and much more.

To help with the financial burden of Paul’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in his honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the Southeast Heart Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only.
