Paulette Needs Our Help!

Paulette O’Dell is in need of a double lung transplant and needs the help of her community to make it happen.

You may remember Paulette from Raymond’s Guinea Grinder Sandwich Shop in Clear Lake, Iowa back in the 80’s. She may have also served you as a cashier at Econo Foods, or provided assistance in their Pharmacy when picking up your medications. Most recently she retired from Walmart Super Center due to her declining health. She has been battling COPD and Chronic Emphysema for 18 years and is now unable to breathe without the use of oxygen. After many years of helping others now she needs our support.

Transplants are life-saving but financially draining. Funding this procedure is a monumental task, as there will be many uncovered medically-related expenses. Together, Paulette and her family are committed to seeing her through this transplant. However, they face a challenge they cannot meet alone.

To help with the financial burden of uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign has been established in honor of Paulette O’Dell with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to help patients and families in need for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law and are held by Help Hope Live in the Midwest/West Lung Transplant Fund in honor of Paulette O’Dell.
