Meet Pauline:

My primary care referred me to a Nephrologist who informed me that my kidneys have low function but no reason for dialysis at the moment. That did not last because after a few visits my Nephrologist said I need to start dialysis right away. This scared me. I never had symptoms so I asked God what did I do? Then I was in dialysis for almost 3 years but also in the waiting list for kidney transplant. Finally the day came.
After waiting for three years, the phone finally rang on July 23, 2022, I got a call from Northwestern Kidney Transplant Center saying they have a kidney for me. I had the surgery July 24! A successful one. Now on my way to recovery but financially hurting because I can’t work right now and really need help.
