Pritchard, a dedicated Senior Administrator with a lifelong commitment to education, has faced unforeseen challenges in recent years, including a personal diagnosis of kidney failure and his daughter’s diagnosis of a rare autoimmune disease. Despite these adversities, Pritchard has continued to navigate his career and family responsibilities. Now, his medical team emphasizes the necessity of a life-saving kidney transplant for his future well-being. However, the financial strain associated with this medical procedure is a significant hurdle.

Pritchard’s twin brother previously battled kidney disease, and fortunately, a successful transplant was made possible by his brother’s wife as a matching donor. Currently facing fatigue and financial burdens, Pritchard and his family recently lost their home and now reside in an apartment. Now Pritchard is working to overcome the financial hurdles to be added to the transplant list and to receive his new kidney.

Unfortunately, Pritchard’s new kidney comes at a very high cost.   

The cost of the average kidney transplant exceeds $400,000, and even with health insurance, Pritchard anticipates substantial medical expenses post-transplant, including ongoing care, medications, transportation costs, and potential income loss during recovery.
