Rachael Leal

Family and friends of Rachael Leal are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses not covered by her own insurance and associated with a Transplant. Rachael has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

We want to thank you all for your powerful prayers, your positive thoughts & encouraging words during this waiting season. We are believing that by God’s favor & his amazing grace that Mama will get a matching kidney BEFORE she has to have even 1 treatment of dialysis. We appreciate all donations of ANY amount. In the last three years, Mama’s kidneys have gradually declined. Her daily activities have become more cumbersome. Mama has been a trooper and has made several short trips with family members to view some of her favorite places & people. Mama goes and never complains. She doesn’t feel her best, but she doesn’t let it stop her from seeing her family. She has learned her limits and at times pushes it just a little, then has to really take time to recover. Her kidney function has made it difficult to breathe comfortably. We are hopeful to find her a kidney so that she can live life feeling BETTER!!! I have included some photos of the most recent travels and family visits that she has made. Mama values FAMILY TIME! We will keep you updated on this journey as we wait for the call of a kidney!

The kidney center that we are associated with at the moment do not currently do LIVE transplants. They are a new program in the area and we are hopeful that this will be an option in the near future. There have been a couple of family members that have shown an interest in donating a kidney for Rachael.
