Rachel Doboga

When I was diagnosed with ALS at age 28, I lost my teaching career, my plans to travel, and the chance to start a family with my husband. I lost my future. I almost lost hope, but being surrounded by so many people unwilling to let me go helped me step back from the edge. Now I am determined not to let a day go by without fighting for my life.

This campaign is for Rachel Doboga’s private nurses needed for ventilator care so she can continue to reside with her husband, Evan, at home. Rachel had a tracheostomy enabling her to breath in March 2020 and her ventilator care is not covered by insurance.
Today Rachel cannot speak, she has a feeding tube for all her food and meds, a port into her heart and her spine for meds. She is confined to her bed/wheelchair and relies on her eye gaze machine for communication.
