Hello, my name is Randall Wachlin! My story is about the things in life that change you forever! I’m a typical American Man, who always worked hard to support my family. As life goes on, my family grew and moved out into the world. In July of 2019 I injured my self and twisted, broke, and dislocated my right ankle! I ended up in the hospital and out on medical leave from work, not knowing what the outcome would be. I found myself going through several surgeries to fuse and fix my ankle. I got sepsis right after the last surgery and almost died!
A year later my job let me go. This left me with no income or medical insurance. A couple of months later I got sepsis again! I spent several weeks in the hospital almost dying again! By the grace of God I was able to get on Disability, after I had cashed in and used two 401k’s to survive. My condition with my leg and ankle grew worse. Finally in July of 2022 I was put on Medicare. I went immediately to the Dr and found out I needed my right leg amputated below the knee.
Being disabled and on a very fixed income I and my wife struggle to keep afloat. Prosthetics are very expensive, and not one size fits all. I have to update and keep mine current to my situation and progression. I’m asking if anyone has anything to give to help me make it through this phase of my life. I appreciate and love you all.
