It is with great sadness we report that Raul Granados passed away on June 12, 2026. Family and friends have been working with Help Hope Live to raise money to help finance uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation. 

In loving memory of Raul, Help Hope Live will continue to accept charitable donations to help defray uninsured costs that were incurred. Raul had chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because the nonprofit organization provides both tax-deductibility to the full extent allowed by law and fiscal accountability to contributors. Donors can be sure that charitable contributions will be used only to pay or reimburse medically related and funeral expenses.

Please Help Raul Get His Kidney Transplant!

Raul Granados desperately needs a kidney transplant, and he needs your help to make it happen. Raul has been battling a kidney disease called Acute Nephritic Syndrome for many years. He has been on a strict regimen of dialysis, which has unfortunately led to atrial fibrillation and other medical problems, over the years. Raul’s transplant will be lifesaving, but very expensive, and the costs are more than Raul can handle on his own. Raul is the son of the late Ramon and Elena Granados of Wellington, Texas. and he has overwhelming love and support from his family. However, Raul is required to have the required funds prior to transplant in order to undergo his surgery. Without the funds needed for his transplant, Raul will have no choice but to remain on dialysis, which will eventually cause his AFib to take over, and his other organs to fail.

Even with health insurance, Raul is facing very high transplant related expenses such as, doctor visits, temporary relocation and travel fees, laboratory fees, and anti-rejection medications that he will need for the rest of his life. These costs are adding up, and expected to exceed $5,000 for Raul.

To help with this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Raul’s honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by Help Hope Live in the South-Central Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only.
