Family and friends of Reena Sims are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Catastrophic Illness. Reena has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

Meet Reena Sims, a Columbus native born with spina bifida. She’s faced life with courage, resilience, and a never-quit attitude — building her life on strength and self-sufficiency.

Reena’s mobility depends on a wheelchair and specialized transportation. After a recent accident totaled her only accessible van, she lost her ability to travel independently. She has missed doctor’s appointments and therapy appointments. She has not been able to take her granddaughter to the all inclusive park that is accessible to spend time since her accident.

Now, she’s raising funds to modify a new van with hand controls and a wheelchair lift — and she needs our help.
