This is my story.. October 2023 I had routine blood work done, blood work came back but it was all good.in may 2024 I was working at home health care I was working from 8:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday at this point it was hard for me to even get out of bed like my body ached I had no energy and me just thinking that I was menopause so I never thought anything about it making myself get through the end of the day it’s just exhausting like I could sleep all day long.Now I’m noticing bruising on my legs and arms didn’t think nothing of it.July 3rd I flew out to Vegas to spend time with family I had no energy on my vacation I slept through my vacation I think I went with the family out to eat one night and did not feel good at all sweating so bad July 7th evening made it back home. July 8th I had to work but I didn’t feel good so I called into work.july 9th I made myself get out of bed and I was trying to get stuff done I had my friend come and get me so that I could go get a part for my truck and on the way to go get the part for my truck they got to the point where I couldn’t even hold my head up I was that exhausted I told him just take me home so I came home and I took a nap I woke up and I felt sick so I called my best friend and told her to come and get me to take me to the ER cuz there’s something not right we went to the ER they took blood tests it came back out to me and called me back to a room sat me down told me that I had influenza a and leukemia and that I was being transported to St Mary’s in Grand rapids Michigan because they needed to deal with this immediately…. Soon as I got to St Mary’s I started chemo the first chemo side effects was I had a brain bleed I had a serious nosebleed which they packed my nose and that caused the blood infection and I also have a eye problem in my right eye now too from the first chemo as of right now every 28 days for 5 days I go to St Mary’s for chemo my goal day is January 6th for my transplant Family and friends of Regina Waldron are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Transplant. Regina has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses
