I have had declining kidney function for a few years now and it’s gotten to the point where I will need a kidney transplant. Also being a Type 1 diabetic for almost 18 years, I have been given the opportunity to receive a new pancreas at the same time.

I am in the process of getting on the donor list to receive both organs from a deceased donor. I won’t be eligible to be listed until I have certain medical procedures done and I just can’t afford the out of pocket costs. I will also be out of work for 3 months after the operation with no source of income. Help Hope Live is helping me raise funds to ease the burden I am having now and in the future.
