Please help Keep Richard Breathing!!!

Richard has been dealing with progressive lung disease. he needs a double lung transplant to survive his worsening Pulmonary Fibrosis, Asbestosis and Emphysema. We are asking for family, friends and co-workers to please join us in fundraising for the non-profit HelpHopeLive.org in honor of Richard, to assist with expenses that he will incur before and after surgery. He will be in Mass General Hospital in Boston for 3-4 weeks following the transplant if there are no complications and after he is discharged, he will also be required to stay in proximity of the hospital for a month or more to attend clinic visits post-surgery.

Richard has a positive attitude about all this and has always been there for others both at home and at work. Now he is counting on others to please help him in his time of need. Richard is a proud Military Veteran of the Navy and Army, supportive husband, farther, grandfather and friend. Please help him to be able to spend more quality time with his family. Despite having health insurance there will be many expenses associated with the transplant that will not be covered. He could be expected to pay up to $10K for medications including but not limited to essential anti-rejection drugs for the first year alone as well as housing and travel expenses post-surgery.

Donations to HelpHopeLive.org in Richard’s honor will aide in alleviating the stress and financial burden after the lung transplant and allow Richard to focus on his recovery.
