Matthew Kremis

At only 27 years old, Matthew is in advanced heart failure and needs an organ transplant. He has battled chronic heart disease since childhood and had his first transplant at the age of 10. He is now father to two young children, and his battles against rejection have hit a critical point. We are asking family and friends to join us in fundraising for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to help alleviate critical expenses Matt will face after surgery that insurance will not cover.

Despite heart issues that began at birth and have gotten progressively more severe, Matt has never let his chronic illness stop him from living his life. He is a wonderful father, husband, and friend who goes out of his way for the people around him. He has been forced to slow down as his heart has limited his ability to do the things he loves, and now his heart is only functioning at 20% and he needs our help.

While Matt has health insurance, a shocking amount of transplant expenses are not covered, such as the daily anti-rejection medications he needs to keep his new heart healthy. Medications, doctor’s appointments, travel expenses, and mental health care all add out of pocket expenses.

Donations to Help Hope Live will help ease the financial burden (and resulting stress) of a transplant to allow Matt to focus on a healthy recovery, a long healthy life, and watching his kids grow.
