RICHARD SMOOT

Richard Smoot have been Diagnosed with Coronary Artery Heart Disease and had to undergo Double By Pass Open Heart surgery. He has been living with this diagnoses of Heart Failure Since 2016 and was put on life vest.

Then in 2023 he had to have an IC defibrillator implanted. Currently living with Coronary heart failure, his heart is weak for him to have a Heart transplant to further his life.

Rich is a 54 year old, Husband, Father, and Grandpa. He is a mechanic an loves working on vehicles and boats and also loves to take his boat out on the water and loves to spend time with his family and friends.

Since his Heart failure he’s been managing his health with the help of medications, diet changes and rest. Since his diagnoses he is on many different medications, in and out the hospital with chest pains, and heart catheterizations due to blockages with stenting.

In January 2025 he had Afib( heart attack). He has a heart function of 20%. We are fundraising to help cover medical expenses and related needs for a heart transplant.

Things we hope to achieve after this transplant is to get him back to normal for our Family and Grandchildren. Hoping to return back to work that he enjoys working on motor vehicles and his side hobby( boats), We have estimated 50,000 would help with some of expenses the amount could double or triple if he experiences any set backs.
