Robert Junkins

My name is Rob Junkins and my family and I live in Saraland, Al. I have always had the desire to help people and when I learned of the ability to be a living organ donor and saw the opportunity to help someone, I knew I had to. My wife, like so many of us, lost someone very close to her in 2023 and seeing the toll it took on her and the family made me want to keep others from experiencing a similar loss.I feel that we can do so much good on this little rock called Earth and if each of us does just a small act of kindness every chance we get, we could really make an impact. I hope I can help to influence others to see if they are eligible to donate, whether it be time, money, blood, marrow or any of the many things that are needed by individuals that are in poor health or circumstances.I will be donating a portion of my liver to a young lady early 2025, and am raising funds to cover the cost of hotel near the hospital the required amount of time, food, lost wages and any additional expenses incurred during recovery. I chose this fundraising method as it eliminates potential for abuse of funds and only pays expenses directly.
