Robert Mudge

Hello, and thank you for visiting my page. My name is Robert Mudge. On the night of August 19, 2001 my life changed forever, I lost one of my closest friends and I sustained a spinal cord injury resulting in quadriplegia.

I have since made great gains that defied all the prognoses I was given. I’ve continued to pursue any chance of recovery by staying active 5-6 days per week. Since my injury I have also earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida, purchased a home and became a father with a beautiful and kind woman.

The cost for specialized therapy per hour equals what most pay for a yearly membership at a normal gym. As of now this sort of therapy is NOT covered by insurance, so costs can get very high quickly. Funds raised also help me cover other costs directly related to my injury like shower chairs, prescriptions, wheel chair parts, workout equipment etc.

To help with these uninsured medical expenses and exercise based therapies, I have chosen to establish a 501c3 fundraising campaign with Help Hope Live. All contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the Southeast Spinal Cord Injury Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for injury-related expenses only.
