Dear Friends and Family,

First, let us thank all of you for your continuing prayers and support that have been sent our way these past several months. Without this show of love and support, Roberta’s diagnosis of End Stage Liver Disease in October would have been even more devastating.

Thankfully, Roberta received a liver transplant June 14th and her progress is unbelievable. We are very proud of her for her determination to recover as quickly (yet safely) as possible so that she may return to the work she loves and to enjoying each day with her husband and three sons.

Roberta received the gift of life from a generous soul and their family whose compassion for others made it possible for her and others to be blessed with a new beginning. We would like to humbly thank the donor’s family for their selfless gift and encourage others to follow them by becoming an organ donor.

As you can imagine, Roberta’s strenuous journey has led to staggering medical bills. Already, thousands of dollars of medical expenses have accumulated and will continue to grow because of the need for follow-up appointments and anti-rejection medications. Even with insurance, the cost of transplantation is overwhelming. Because of this, we must continue to rely on those with giving and caring hearts.

To help ease the burden of these on-going medical expenses, a fundraising campaign has been established in Roberta’s honor with HelpHOPELive. HelpHOPELive has been assisting the transplant community with fundraising for 25 years. All contributions are tax-deductible and will help maintain Roberta’s new liver. Any size gift will be so appreciated.
